Tour Options
White Water Rafting
Trip Time - 4 hrs
Price Per Person - $65.00
Begin your rafting trip on the beautiful Rio Cangrejal (Crab River), paddling with highly experienced rafting guides; the best in the world and first aid certified. Your rafting tour takes you alongside the famous Pico Bonito National Park, and once navigating passed the "ziplock", you see a spectacular 700-foot waterfall. Hang on as you round "Moeby", white water rafting through the class III and IV rapids -- some of the most exhilarating rafting in the whole of Central America. Finish pumped full of adrenaline after the "Horseshoe", and take a breather before returning back to the lodge.
Canopy Zipline
Trip Time - 2.5-3 hrs

You will be fitted with state-of-the-art rappelling equipment and given thorough instruction along with a practice run. The adventure begins with an exhilarating whiz across the "Rio Cangrejal". The zip line course has a total of 8 high wires that whisk you from tree to tree, traversing the jungle canopy all the while accompanied and assisted by guides. Your safety is first priority at all times; you will be clipped to either the zip line or the guide wires on the platform. The platforms are sturdy and spacious, providing you with the opportunity to truly enjoy the views. The zip line is a surreal experience in the upper echelon of the jungle.
Mountain Biking
Trip Time - 5 hrs
Price Per Person - $65.00
Experience nature, spectacular views, and authentic villages via mountain bike. A 4x4 transports you to the beautiful Gracias A Dios Mountain Range where your mountain biking adventure begins. Ride downhill, downstream, and down the valley through small farming villages. Cross a bridge where three rivers meet and head to La Colorada (depending on the water level) where one can overlook the "invisible ruins" not yet discovered by the world's archeologists. While taking in the mountain scenery and mystique, enjoy a picnic as you relax and rest your legs. After allowing ample time for digestion, it's back on the bikes to head through a few more villages before arriving back to the lodge where those cool mountain pools await.
Horseback Riding
Trip Time - 3 hrs (on horse)

The horseback riding trip features beautiful scenery ranging from impressive mountains to traditional Honduran farmland. Choose a horse in line with your riding experience at the horse and cattle farm; options range from timid for beginners, to lively for more advanced horseback riders. This horseback riding tour is customizable to your riding preferences. Whether at a gallop or steady canter, you will thoroughly enjoy the views of this lush countryside.
Cacao Lagoon
Trip Time - 4 hrs

Located 24 km east of La Ceiba, this small ocean-side lagoon is totally surrounded by mangrove forests. A variety of tropical birds, howler monkeys and white face monkeys inhabit the area. Travel through the lagoon either in a kayak or handmade dugout canoe. After the scenic paddling, lunch on the beach with a beautiful view of Cayos Cochinos (Hog Islands) situated just 15km from shore.
Scenic Mountain Tour
Trip Time - 4 hrs

Travel by air-conditioned mini-bus up the mountain and through several small villages. Here you will experience a taste of the local cultural lifestyles and breathtaking views. Stop at the women's sewing co-operative and have a look at their handicrafts, then enjoy a "typical" Honduran-style lunch. The sewing co-operative is located on a mountain ranch that is nestled on the opposite side of the Cangrejal river. Have fun watching youngsters playing in the river below while you sail across in a "canasta". The return trip to the lodge takes you past Pico Bonito's 700 foot Bejuco waterfall.
A Day at the Beach

Depart Las Cascadas Lodge in the morning, and after a 20 minute trip in an airconditioned mini-bus, arrive at one of our participating resorts located on a pristine beach with white sand and crystal clear water. Enjoy sunbathing, swimming in the tranquil seas or simply watch the seabirds fishing and flying. Included in the price is a full "typical" meal and beverages. Afterward, relax in a hammock while the cool afternoon breezes gently whisper around you. For a nominal fee, indulge in a complete body massage by a certified masseuse.
