Honduran Adventure trips and tours

Waterfall Descents and Canyoning

Trip Time – 3 hours

$65.00 USD Two person minimum.

Learn the basics on level ground then practice on the lower waterfall right here at the hotel. The trip consists of hiking around 30 minutes up a beautiful rain forest track to the top of the Upper Waterfall at Las Cascadas Lodge.

From there you make the largest descent of about 80 feet. You are in control with the help of some basic climbing equipment. Below there are two more rappels, some optional jumps, swims, spots to be lowered on ropes, and a bunch of various other canyoning features. The photos we take for you are great! This activity is an adrenaline packed and refreshing way to beat the jungle heat!

Canyoning is for fit people who are steady on their feet and are not too afraid of heights. We provide footwear if needed as well as rain/splash jackets to keep you comfortable.

Guided Hiking in Pico Bonito National Park

Trip Time 3-5 hours

$50 USD per person

A great guided tour with views, swimming, and waterfalls! This trip departs from the Hotel and passes through an old chocolate plantation then crossing the river into the National Park.

Our guides are safe, informative, local staff who know the plants and animals you may see along the way. The hike is a challenge for most and requires a bit of scrambling as well as decent balance on slippery surfaces.

Below 'sister falls' along the way there is an opportunity to swim in a majestic jungle pool. A light trail lunch and water is carried by the guide and the trip finishes crossing the suspension bridge over the Rio Cangrejal.

Lightweight hiking, or running shoes are fine for this tour. Cameras, hiking pants, and a bit of bug spray are recommended. An awesome way to take in the jungle and sights while making space for Chef Olvin's next meal!

White Water Rafting half day

Trip Time – 4 hours

$50.00 USD per person

Amazing rafting up to class 4.

The run varies depending on season and flow and is incredible all year round. Guides give you lots of instruction at the start and then assign you to specific rafts. The rafts on the Rio Cangrejal are small with a capacity for up to 4 passengers.

The river water is warm and the rapids are steep and exciting! The rafting section runs along Pico Bonito National Park and offers spectacular views of the 90 meter waterfall 'El Bejuco'. Trips are very safe and well run.

There are lots of spots to jump off rocks and to go swimming along the way. Lunch is included after the trip with all of your fellow rafters.
