Combo Adventure Day in Honduras: Rafting, Waterfalls & Jungle Luxury
We recently hosted a group of six guests visiting from the United States who made their way over from the Lodge at Pico Bonito for one of our signature combo adventure days. The plan was simple: pack as much unforgettable experience as possible into a single day—and it delivered. The group was also celebrating a recent engagement, which made the day feel even more special from the start.

Rafting - Rio Cangrejal
The morning kicked off with a half-day rafting trip on the Cangrejal River. Conditions were excellent, with fun, splashy rapids balanced by stretches of calm water perfect for taking in the surrounding rainforest. Wildlife sightings along the way added to the experience, and the energy of the group made for a lively, memorable run down one of Honduras’ most scenic rivers.
Midday, the group arrived at Las Cascadas Lodge for a well-earned break and lunch. Set within a private jungle setting, the lodge offered a peaceful contrast to the morning’s adrenaline. Guests enjoyed a freshly prepared meal, relaxed in the natural surroundings, and had time to take photos, recharge, and soak in the atmosphere before heading into the second half of the day.
The afternoon's waterfall descent tour was an immersive jungle outing with hiking, scrambling, and moving beside cascading falls. It was an active, memorable way to connect with the landscape, and the group embraced it fully. By day's end they’d seen river, jungle, and waterfalls in one adventure—leaving with great photos, lasting memories, and a fitting celebration.
