’CASCADAS CANYON’
Extreme adventure in the jungle descending waterfalls.
The 1/2 Day Waterfall Descents/Canyoning involves: swimming, descending on ropes (abseiling), jumping into pools, hiking, and some climbing/scrambling.
This all day trip combines a morning adventure to Pico Bonito National Park followed by lunch at Las Cascadas and then the ‘Cascadas Canyon’ in the afternoon.
The Full Day Waterfall Descents/Canyoning involves: swimming, descending on ropes (abseiling), jumping into pools, hiking, and some climbing/scrambling.
The Guided Hike in Pico Bonito National Park departs from the resort through an old chocolate plantation and crossing the river into the jungle. Your adventure guide will help identify all of the plants, trees, and animals you see along the way!
Hike to the base of ‘El Bejuco’ waterfall (90m). Enjoy a lunch on the trail and some great photo opportunities.
This hike is generally suitable for children 12 and up.

Whitewater Rafting class 1-4. The rafting run varies depending on the season and flow. Guides give you lots of instruction at the start and then assign you to specific rafts. The rafts on the Rio Cangrejal are small with a capacity for up to 4 passengers.The river water is warm and the rapids are steep and exciting! The rafting section runs along Pico Bonito National Park and offers spectacular views of the 90 meter waterfall 'El Bejuco'.
There are lots of spots to jump off rocks and to go swimming along the way. Lunch is included after the trip with all of your fellow rafters. A great river and experience!
It’s a 20 min drive to the Sambo Creek Ziplines and Hotsprings tour. Get fitted with the proper safety gear and experience the thrill of 17 ziplines through the forest. Some of the ziplines are fast and some are quite lengthy!
After the tour relax and soak in several hot pools with varying temperatures. Have a snack and a mud bath if desired. Guides will help with photos. Paid massages are often available after the mud bath.
Tour through three local villages by Mountain Bike stopping to swim and enjoy the jungle scenery along the way.

The ride is almost all downhill. Helmets are provided. Bikes have front suspension for added comfort.

Cayos Cochinos is a natural paradise in Honduras preserved as a Marine National Monument. Snorkel and sightsee on this boat tour of the islands. The Cayos Cochinos or Cochinos Cays consist of two small islands and 13 smaller coral cays situated 30 km northeast of La Ceiba on the northern shores of Honduras.
The coral reef in this case is part of the second largest coral reef in the world, known as the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. There is a scientific research station on Cayo Menor, the smaller of the two main islands in the system.
A scenic drive and tour in the Valley of the Rio Cangrejal. Travel through the local villages taking opportunities to birdwatch, take photos, and sightsee. There are spots to swim and walk nature trails.
