Extreme Night Hike
A deeper and more physically demanding nighttime jungle experience for adventurous guests looking to explore beyond the main trails. This guided hike involves scrambling, uneven terrain, river crossings depending on conditions, and travel toward hidden waterfalls deep in the rainforest above Las Cascadas Lodge. Wildlife activity often increases as the jungle becomes fully active after dark.
Approximately 2+ hours depending on conditions, pace, and wildlife activity. Closed toed shoes required. Lighting is provided. Moderate to strong physical ability recommended. No alcohol before departure preferred.

Taste of the Jungle at Night
A slower paced guided night hike focused on experiencing the sounds, movement, and wildlife of the rainforest after dark without extreme terrain. Using easier access trails around the property and surrounding jungle, guests regularly encounter insects, frogs, reptiles, mammals, tropical birds, and other nighttime activity while learning how active the rainforest becomes after sunset.
Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on wildlife sightings and guest preference. Lighting is provided. Closed toed shoes required. Suitable for most guests comfortable walking on jungle trails at night.

All night hikes are guided by local staff familiar with the property and surrounding rainforest. Every hike is customized to conditions, wildlife activity, guest interests, and comfort level, making each experience slightly different from the last.
